Being a Leader.
In South Africa Nelson Traveled the country to organize civil disobedience to fight back against the discriminatory legislation. He started to persuade many to follow his footsteps in his acts of defiance against the South African Government. Although Mandela did not want violence and did not encourage it, he and many other were arrested because of their rebellious acts. After being released Mandela began to discourage and break the bonds of Apartheid. Once more because of these acts he was charged by law enforcement for treason but was not found guilty and continued on.He wore many costumes so he wouldn't be easily identified by the African police department that were determined to find him and kept their eyes open looking out for him,he was referred to as the "black pimpernel" because of his many disguises. Nelson and one and his friend opened Africa’s first ever black law office partnership. In 1948 Mandela tried to persuade the ANC to create a military branch to fight after the police killed 69 and wounded 180 innocent protesters he was successful in his actions.Nelson left the country to train the military and as soon as he came back to Africa he was arrested and thrown in prison for leaving the country. His reputation grew during the time he spent in prison and was looked up to by other prison mates.Mandela refused to compromise his political position, morals and beliefs to be released from prison. He remained in jail to prove a point and to show he is not for Any thing Apartheid is apart of.
